Former Flynn deputy: Durham probe will bring indictments ‘before the end of the summer’
K.T. McFarland once served as a deputy to former Trump National Security Advisor Michael Flynn, and during a recent Fox News interview she weighed in on the ongoing criminal probe of the Russia investigation being led by U.S. Attorney John Durham.
According to McFarland, not only will the Durham probe yield indictments, but criminal charges are likely to be handed down sooner rather than later due to documentary proof she says has been discovered, according to the Washington Examiner.
McFarland predicts indictments
Fox News reported in late October of 2019 that Durham’s inquiry had morphed into a criminal investigation after Attorney General Bill Barr met with high-level Italian security officials in Rome.
“Now, there is cold, hard evidence,” the Washington Examiner quoted McFarland as saying. “It turns out that these senior officials in the intelligence community and the FBI, they all took notes,” she claimed.
“They all texted each other,” Flynn’s former deputy explained, stating that the players involved “all had handwritten notes of meetings.”
“And from what I’m hearing, the Durham investigation and the Justice Department is getting to the point where I think we can expect some indictments before the end of the summer,” McFarland went on to predict.
“There is a story to be told”
McFarland’s comments regarding indictments appear to be consistent with statements made recently by Justice Department spokeswoman Kerri Kupec.
Kupec was quoted by the Examiner on July 17 as saying that while “there are no guarantees in life,” she hoped to see a report released from Durham by summer’s end.
“There is a story to be told there,” she said, insisting that “[t]he American people deserve resolution, and frankly, justice deserves resolution.”
In June, the attorney general himself spoke of an end-of-summer timeline for the public to receive some indiciation of the probe’s findings during an interview with Fox News personality Maria Bartiromo.
“In terms of the future of Durham’s investigation, he’s pressing ahead as hard as he can, and I expect that we will have some developments, hopefully before the end of the summer, but as I’ve said, his investigation will continue. It’s not going to stop because of the election. What happens after the election may depend on who wins the election,” Barr noted.
Americans who have grown impatient over the apparent lack of accountability for the Deep State actors who aggressively plotted against the president will no doubt be pleased by McFarland’s latest prediction, but only time will tell whether her instincts prove correct.
