A .308 Winchester case is 2.015 inches long. The barrel on this Black Collar Arms Pork Sword Chassis build is about 2.06 inches long.

Gotta love a left-hand bolt action built out as a pistol, right? Okay, okay, this one’s fully on the “ridiculous” side of things. But boy, is it fun. Also loud. So, so loud.
It all started with a rough measurement and an angle grinder. I put a KAK RemAge barrel in a table vice and chopped her off free-hand. Now you see why they call me The Picasso of Angle Grindering.
The nice thing about such a short barrel is that it acts as a loaded chamber indicator. If I’m honest, it was this movie that inspired my barrel length choice.
Also it’s handy and, I’m sure, highly intimidating in a self-defense scenario. Or just disarmingly charming. I’m sure we’ll have a few holster makers coming out with AIWB models shortly.
Since the barrels we carry can be swapped at home in under 10 minutes we thought what the heck, may as well do something silly for a while then swap the action back over to a real barrel whenever the mood strikes. I’m sure we’ve all had those times when we felt like hitting what we were aiming at, right? Just me?
Okay seriously though, don’t do this at home. We were just trolling for social media followers and shares (side note: it worked). There’s certainly no functional purpose to this build, though it is a giggle factory. It’s also likely unsafe in that it isn’t particularly accurate, may be a fire hazard, and is awfully loud.
Though the “accuracy” truly surprised us:
That’s five shots at 10 yards. It actually looks like a group! I mean, sort of.
Both of those targets were shot at 15 yards. All five rounds hit the target with some clear bias to the left, but we didn’t bother sighting in the red dot. I mean, who would have expected to be on paper at all? Even at 25 yards, as seen in the video, we were on paper 100 percent of the time. Okay so it was two out of two, but who’s counting?
Better than expected, eh? We just wish there were more fireball.
Next up: chronograph and ballistics gelatin testing. Then the “barrel” gets retired to The Black Collar Arms Museum of Bad Ideas.
